First Aid

Matt has a reputation for delivering easy to understand practically based first aid courses, sharing skills from personal experiences he has gained whilst serving as a front line full time firefighter for the last 16 years. Within the fire brigade he is responsible for the training of first aid and trauma to other full time fire fighters. His invaluable real life pre-hospital care experience means he really knows what works, and how relatively simple skills can really save lives.

Being first on scene to numerous major trauma incidents and witnessing good basic first aid skills from members of the public, has instilled a passion in Matt, to ensure that a relaxed and inclusive teaching style means students leave any level of course he delivers, with the confidence to 'make a difference' if and when the need should arise.

Matt can offer a range of first aid courses from 3 hour to 3 days. He has delivered to Nursery staff, outdoor providers, hospitality industry, local authorities, forestry and lone workers and to businesses, groups or individuals who would like to gain a useful, practical life-saving skill. Any course can be accommodated around work hours/shift patterns and his flexibility in this area is a benefit to many businesses. Courses can also be delivered at your venue, all we need is a room with some chairs, power and space for practical activity.

Based in Ross on Wye Matt is perfectly positioned to offer courses throughout Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Powys.

Matt is registered with the FAIB (first aid industry board) and is a member of FOFATO (Federation Of First Aid Training Organisations) and all courses are certified by the FAIB, and learners are provided with workbooks to refresh skills and use as a resource in the future.
